When your freight needs to travel over a large distance fast, the quickest way – i.e. the method with the shortest transit time – is by air. When your freight is extremely “hot” (that’s logistical lingo designating the freight as an item that needs to delivery as quickly as possible) — think of medical device equipment, or manufacturing parts that are pivotal for a broken production line – then you will want to book your freight on our “Next Flight Out” (NFO) program. If tomorrow is too late, then NFO is your best option.
We work with a network of couriers and carriers all over the country that allow us to pick up your goods locally, tender them to the airline using a TSA Certified driver, book your freight on the next flight out, and then recover and deliver from the destination airport. The NFO program calls for us to work as a veritable general contractor – overseeing a lot of different moving parts as this critical freight moves as quickly as possible across the region, country, or even internationally.
To enroll in our NFO program, you (or your company) must register as a “Known Shipper”. A known shipper is a person that has an established business relationship with an indirect air carrier, an aircraft operator or an air carrier based on items such as customer records, shipping contracts, a business history and a site visit, or Dun and Bradstreet vetting. These regulations are for the safety of air passengers and pilots flying on the planes containing air cargo.
UPS and FedEx are two companies that dominate the NFO market due to their name and brand recognition; however, we would argue that we can save you about 20% overall if/when you book with us, and our customer service is far superior to boot.
